Nikita Deynega, Head of Tax & Administrative Law practice at Maxima Legal, has analyzed the situation with the blocking of Russian investors' securities by EuroClear and has spoken about possible ways to solve the problem specially for Finam.ru financial portal.
"This spring Russians were faced with the fact that transactions with their securities turned out to be impossible due to the actions of European structures. Obviously, the blocking of assets occurred for political reasons, and this is where the easiest and most likely resolution lies. But we would like to concentrate on the legal side of the issue and consider the current legal solutions to the current situation", said Nikita.
